DRIVING

It’s illegal to drive with a BAC (blood alcohol content) percentage of .08% and higher.

However, very few have any idea what that means. It’s crazy.

It’s like getting pulled over for speeding in a car with no speedometer.

Even though it is illegal to drive at or above .08%, you can still get arrested for a DUI or DWI at a BAC percentage that is lower than .08%.

WHAT IS THE MOST ACCURATE WAY TO LEARN YOUR ALCOHOL LIMITS?

It is extremely difficult to know with 100% accuracy your BAC percentage when drinking.

The most accurate way is with a blood test. However, this simply isn’t a feasible solution.

The second most accurate way is to purchase a fuel cell breathalyzer that are similar to the breathalyzers police use. Here is an excellent option for a fuel cell breathalyzer. The challenge with fuel cell breathalyzers is that they are expensive. It will cost you at least $250 for a good fuel cell breathalyzer. Granted, this is money well spent to avoid a DUI or DWI. However, this is generally a “later” purchase that doesn’t get done.

Do not waste your money on semiconductor breathalyzers. Here is a very good explanation as to why these are the worst purchases you can make.

The next best way to learn your drinking limits is with a BAC Calculator. There are literally hundreds of BAC Calculators in the market today. However, if you try 5 BAC Calculators, you most likely will get 5 different results. This is the type of test that you want to be reasonably sure that it is accurate. If not, what is the point?

While not 100% accurate, this BAC Calculator is one of the most accurate BAC Calculators in the market today.

WHY YOU NEED TO KNOW YOUR DRINKING LIMITS

In many states, a DUI or DWI will stay on your record forever.

Increasingly more companies are doing background checks. A DUI or DWI will not help you get that position in which you are competing with others who don’t have a DUI or DWI.

It will affect your finances. Average DUI’s run from $5000-$10,000 (the larger the city, the more you will pay). Insurance rates will increase for years.

Do yourself a favor, be proactive and understand your drinking levels.
